If you decide to check out our services, we wanted to let you know what you can expect…
First of all, we do not have any kind of “dress code” here! We believe in modesty for both men and women, but we do not expect everyone to have the same preference on what they wear beyond modest. Some of our guests wear suits and ties, while others wear jeans and t-shirts. We are more concerned about sharing the grace and love of God through his amazing Gospel, than with what you happen to be wearing.
Second, we want you to feel at home! Church can be scary and even intimidating at times. We want to encourage you that we are all REAL people with real joys, hurts, laughs and struggles. No one is perfect and so we believe that church should be honest about not being perfect as well. So, when you visit, just come right in and sit down like you’re walking in your own front door.
What about the actual services?
We will lead you in everything we do during our services. You do not need to have any prior church experience to be able to enjoy our services.
During our services, we may have music lead by our worship team (find out more about our worship ministry under “A place to worship” under the ministries heading), lead in prayer, hear from our pastor from the Word of God and take up an offering (our people give to the Lord and church so we are able to support missionaries, ministries and those in need.) Please do not feel obligated to give during this time, as you are our guest, however, you can give if you choose.
What about my kids?
We have amazing ministries for your children where our volunteers (really our heros) provide a safe and fun experience! All of our volunteers that work with anyone 18 and under have been background checked through the state of Michigan to guarantee safety for your children, as well as give you a peace of mind. The only time we do not offer a ministry for children is during our Sunday Night Direction service, as it is a “family style service.”
Are you handicapped accessible?
Yes, we are wheelchair accessible. Our bathrooms are up to code on accessibility, as well as our hallways and auditorium doors. We want to do all we can to make sure all of our guests are able to be comfortable.
If you have any other questions about our church, please feel free to contact us, and we would love to answer any questions you may have. We Look forward to meeting you soon!
